The Drug Enforcement Administration, Office of Intelligence, and The Customs and Border Protection, Office of Intelligence receive the HSIN Intel Partnership Award

2018 is the inaugural year for the HSIN-Intel Partnership Award. This award was awarded to two agencies that significantly contributed to analytic collaboration, the sharing of unclassified intelligence information, and real-time information exchange via the HSIN-Intel platform.

Although all the finalists that where nominated for the 2018 award, which include Customs and Border Protection, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Drug Enforcement Agency, provided great contribution to enhancing information sharing, the award was given to the Drug Enforcement Agency and Customs and Border Protection, who fully adopted and steadily used the HSIN-Intel tool over the past year, and they serve as a best practice to the Nation.

Over the past year, the DEA committed to making their bulletins, Intelligence Briefs, and Intelligence Reports available, while CBP did the same with over a half dozen of their intelligence products. These collective efforts significantly contributed to improving the awareness of threats, and enhanced nationwide information sharing efforts.
